The neccecity of a shinning light

SUBLIME KINGDOM LIGHT TOPIC: The necessity of a shining light. TEXT: Isaiah 60:1. [1]Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. INTRODUCTION: Shining comes from the root word shine, which means to emit or reflect light so as to glow; It can also means to distinguish oneself; to excel. It means the elfugent of splendor or beauty. It also means eminent, conspicuous, or distinguished; to exhibit brilliant intellectual power. Therefore shining means emiting, reflecting light or having exception merit. As a child of God, what distinguishes you from others is your shining capacity. MESSAGE: Your rising is the determinant factor of your shining. The need for shining light can not be overemphasize, because gross darkness has covered the people, a lot are wallowing in ignorance (darkness) and is not their fault, because the light is not shinning. Light is an antidote for darkness, when light appears darkness disappears, but before darkness disappears the light must fulfil it's function by shining. Imagine you having a touch light in the night without putting it on, that touch light can't parform it's function, and with that you will never discover the value of it. Shining is your responsibility, that is while God has given you the power of will, you can turn it on and you can equally turn it off. This passage above make us understand that light is available, but to shine you must arise, and remember it is when you shine that you experience God's glory. Matthew 4:16. The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.” Naphtali and Zebulon has been sitting in great darkness until the light in the person of Jesus appears to tarminate the darkness. The existence of Jesus doesn't make the light to shine, but it was the rising of Jesus that commands the shining light. You need to have that conviction that you are a light just as the bible reviews, that we are the light of the world, and you must be determined and must also act based on your determination, with this your shining is guaranteed. FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Your rising is the determinant factor of your shining in life. PRAYER: Oh Lord my God, quicken me to rise and shine in Jesus name.
