The greatest in the kingdom of God

SUBLIME KINGDOM LIGHT TOPIC: The greatest in God's kingdom. TEXT: Matthew 18:2. [1]At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” INTRODUCTION. Greatest means highest in quality; greatest emanated from the root word great, which means of a major significance, accomplishment or acclaim, very well in a very satisfactory manner. It is very important to desire greatness as a child of God. Because greatness is one of the strongest quality of God. MASSAGE: Greatness is a quality that is desired by almost everyone, but you need to understand that is not everyone that desires it, actually attain or achieve it. Desiring greatness is not a bad idea, infact is the first step of greatness, when the desciples of Jesus asked him on who is the greatest in heaven, Jesus did not forbid them, rather He encourages them by showing them the way to attain it. He (Jesus) is doing that because he noticed that, greatness is one of His quality, and He is showing them the way, because He want them to be great. Their desire led them to asking the question about greatness, and their asking have given them the opportunity to know it. In otherwords their question on greatness, has make Jesus to unveil the mystery behind it to them, that is why it is essential to desire greatness, because it will cause you to take some good discission and right question that will dymistifie the mystery behind it. Being a man created in the image and likeness of God alone, should create an awareness of greatness in you. Image and likeness in the history of human creation in Genesis 1:26. has guaranteed the quality and character of God in us. Forthermore we need to understand the kind of greatness that Jesus is talking about is contrary to the acceptance of greatness according to the world system, until you understand the kingdom definition of greatness, you might not be able to achieve it, that is why it is necessary for us to understand what it means and start doing the needful to achieve it. He who must be great, must learn to be like the younger one, some bible version says, he must be like a child, this is an enumeration or an injuction that humility, selflessness coppleed with love and service (serving your potentials to your generation) are the strongest qualities of great men in God's kingdom. Greatness is not just a life, is an achievement, set it as a goal, pursue it with this two qualities, you will end up achieving it. Good luck.
