Sons and Heirs with Christ

SUBLIME KINGDOM LIGHT TOPIC: Sons and Heirs with Christ TEXT: Galatians 4:7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.(KJV) INTRODUCTION: Christ came and set us free from the bondage of slavery. So we are no longer slave to sin and Satan. For Christ had made us His sons, not just sons but heirs with Him. MESSAGE: Before now man has been subjected to slavery as a result of what transpired between man and the ancient serpent in garden of Eden. There Satan robbed off the authority God gave to man at the original state. He came and deceived man, and made him to disobey God. Consequently, glory of God departed from man and the man became a slave to the devil and to all the elemental forces of universe that he (devil)mobilized. Then, man began to negotiate with the forces of darkness and principalities of hell over his God given liberty and heritage, because he had become vulnerable. On that garden, man sold his birthright. Alas! Man lost his place in God. But mercy and love of God upon us is unspeakable. His mercy found us even when we had all strayed. Because Jesus came and liberated us from the slavery to pit of hell, and made us brothers and sisters with Him Hebrews 2:12). So, that was the background message of Paul in our today's reading. He is bringing it to our knowledge and consciousness that we are no longer the slaves we used to be because Christ has redeemed us by His blood (Galatians 5:1). And we are now sons of God, but there is another good news Jesus brought to us. He did not only make us sons, but heirs with Him. What a privilege!. On the ground of that, we became partakers in the blessings (benefits) of God. We are now entitled to inherit the kingdom of God and to benefit from His glory (2 Corinthians 3:18). Since a heir carries the authority of father, therefore, we carry the authority of Jesus inherited from the father. This is the truth we must know so that we will no longer live a life of beggarly christians and give devil no foothold again in our lives. FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Devil is still relentless in his mission to rob the crown (glory) of the elect (Revelation 3:11). COUNSEL: Heirs to the throne are known for the lifestyle of holiness, love and power, live like them. Prophetic declaration . Recieve the ability to live a kingdom lifestyle in Jesus name.
