SUBLIME KINGDOM LIGHT TOPIC: Restoration TEXT: Ezekiel 37:7- 10 So, I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them. Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army. INTRODUCTION: Restoration is a generic term that explains the action of returning something or person to the former owner or to the earlier good condition of it. It is a willful strategy employed by God to preserve and sustain His people till ages. MESSAGE: From the day of the fall of man till today, restoration has been a divine tactic conceived by God to return man to his original place. Restoration was designed by God to save His perishing children out of His love and mercy for them. Suffice to say that love and mercy are the two distinctive attributes of God that impels Him into the commitment of restoration. The Lord employed the first restorative measure by giving His only dear son to die on the cross in order to re-establish the God - man relationship. Restoration serves to bring man back to his alignment with God. However, several things are incriminated as being responsible for putting people out of alignment. Some got drifted immediately they withdrew from the secret place, abandoning their consecrations. Hence, they become spiritually deficient. While many are put into snare by the devil through the manifestation of wickedness and powers of darkness by his agents. This happens when they project sickness and spiritual barricades into the lives and engagements of people of God. People also get disconnected from their expiendent positions in God when they begin to live sinful life and keep ungodly companies. But the good news is that God is still in the business of repairing and rebuilding the damages incurred as the results of man's negligence and mistakes. For He is always grieved each time He sees His people in that pitiful, dejected and lamentable condition.(Mathew 9: 36 - 37). He employs the strategy of restoration to remediate the state of His children. When the Lord is committed to restoring His children, the practical implications are that He reconciles man to Himself. He rebuilds those who are weak in spirit. Our health, marriages, businesses and ministry are restored and revived. God can also use the vessel of His prophets, pastors, teachers and other spiritual leaders to engage into the labour of restoration. In this passage, we saw Him restoring the people of Israel to their former condition, bringing to life dead bones through prophet Ezekiel. Therefore, we must pray for restoration over anywhere we have been defected because He had assured us restoration (Job 2:25). COUNSEL: Also avail yourself as an instrument of restoration for the Lord in this season. PRAYER: Oh Lord restore to me the joy of my salvation. In Jesus name Father restore to me everything I lost as a result of my mistakes and sins. In Jesus name... Amen.
