SUBLIME KINGDOM LIGHT TOPIC: Partake not in the unfruitful works of darkness. TEXT: Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them (KJV) INTRODUCTION: Any fellowship with the work of darkness automatically frustrates God's dealing in one's life. we ought not to conceal any iniquity but to bring them to light. MESSAGE: To partake not in the works of darkness means to take no part in every activities that glorifies Satan. As children of God, we are to separate ourselves totally from any appearance of sin. Anything that thrives in the place of darkness has an identity function of sin. That is because darkness and sin appreciate each other. The works of darkness represent every engagements or commitments to anything that is against the Lord's commandments. Expressly, unfruitful works of darkness complement every appearance of ungodliness. They are the manifestation of flesh. These are plainly stated in Galatians 5 :19-21 Today again we hear God saying that we must not fellowship with every unfruitful work of darkness, but we. The works of darkness return a redeemed man to the primeval sinful nature of man. Therefore, whenever we find out any lapse in our lives as against the standard of God for us, it is expedient that we confess it, report ourselves so that we can be helped. The unveiled truth here is that when sin is exposed to the light, it loses its performing strength and eventually become extirpated. Because light has the inherent capacity to terminate the operation of darkness. Therefore, secrecy is the breeding sites for iniquity. So, when you discover lust, you must expose it. If it's anger, hatred, pride or another, you must report yourself so that they will be plucked out of your life immediately. The deception from the pit of hell is that we are fine with our sin and can handle our weaknesses by ourselves, neglecting the mercy of God. But I adjure you friends not to be comfortable or relaxed when you discover any activity of sin, be it in your office, work place, and any where you are. Expose it or do not take part in it. That thing you call minor thing may develop to something big and terrible in the future. FOOD FOR THOUGHT: If we fail to expose that minor work of darkness in our lives, it will grow to a worm and eat up our destiny. COUNSEL: Point out all your weaknesses and begin to deal with them individually. PRAYER: Oh God give me the grace to rejected every work of darkness.
