TOPIC: Contending For The Faith TEXT: Jude 1:3 KJV:Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. INTRODUCTION The attack of the devil is strongly on our Christian faith to ravage it. Hence, the need to contend for it. MESSAGE Christian faith is same as Christian belief. It is the sum of beliefs and convictions that came to us through revelational knowledge of the Word of God that was entrusted to us by God's holy people who who were once on this pilgrimage. It was established through the unction of Spirit by the early church leaders which can be encapsulated as Apostle's Doctrine Acts 2:42 Our Christian faith is the bed rock of our Faith in Christ Jesus. This suggests every other Truth we believe and Trust in God, also our consecration and lifestyle. It is beyond Religious belief since it informs the kind of life we live daily. This faith enables us to live righteously and victoriously in the world. Therefore, we must contend for it. The word "Contend" means to strive and struggle to obtain or retain possession of something or to defend it. There is need to contend for our hope and believe in God. The purpose of Satan is to exterminate and wreck this faith so that man don't benefit from God anymore. He brings occasions that question our hope and trust in God. He sponsors folks who creep into the church to contradict and dispute the faith by preaching heresy. These are still the attack of the devil. Thought for the day: Faith becomes crippled when heresies is preached and believed. Counsel: Don't give room for heresies, strive to be in the spirit by making fellowshipping with God your lifestyle. Prophetic declaration. You are delivered from everything contending with your faith in Jesus name 🙏🙏 Amen.
